How to Switch Your Fibre Line From Another Provider to Mweb

Are You Wanting to Switch to Mweb?

Switching to Mweb Fibre is simple. Follow the steps below to enjoy fast and reliable internet.

  1. Cancel with Your Current Service Provider

Start by notifying your current Internet Service Provider (ISP) to cancel your services with them. Keep in mind the following:

    • Notice Period: Most ISPs require a 30-day notice period.
    • Fees: A cancellation or migration fee may apply, depending on your current ISP’s terms.
    • Line Release: Once your line is released by your previous ISP, your Mweb order will proceed.

The time it takes for your line to be released is determined by your current ISP. Mweb has no control over this timeframe.

  2. Sign Up for Mweb Fibre

After ensuring your current ISP has started the cancellation process, follow these steps to sign up for Mweb Fibre:

    1. Visit Our Website: Go to https://www.mweb.co.za/switch and complete the sign-up process.
    2. Provide Your UID (Unique Line ID): Obtain your UID from your existing ISP and email it to switch@mweb.com.

Here are some examples of how Unique Line IDs vary by Fibre Network Operator (FNO):
