Mail Sending Rules and Guidelines
Mweb uses sending rules to protect our servers, prevent blacklisting and keep email delivery reliable.
Incoming spam can slow down servers and clutter inboxes.
Outgoing spam (intentional or malware-generated) can harm reputation and cause blacklisting.
Rules keep the service stable and dependable.
Recipients per message: up to 25
Messages per hour: about 400
Maximum message size: 35 MB (including attachments)
If you reach the sending rules, split the send into smaller batches or reduce attachments.
Outgoing server: smtpauth.mweb.co.za
Port: 587
Authentication: Required (your full email address and password)
Encryption: Enabled
Outbound port 25 is blocked on the Mweb network. If you connect to another provider’s mail server, use port 587 (or another supported port).
You can still send and receive when connected through another provider using the settings above. If their network blocks port 587, use that network’s outbound mail server.
Protection systems are adaptive and may occasionally pause high-volume sending to protect overall reliability.
