How to setup Outlook 365 on a Mac

  Follow these 5 easy steps to set up your Mweb mailbox on Outlook 365 for Mac:

  Launch Microsoft Outlook 365 for Mac

  Click on the Microsoft Outlook icon in the dock.

  Open Preferences

  From the menu bar, select Outlook and then Preferences.

  Open Accounts

  Now click on the Accounts Icon

  Add an Account

  Click on the plus (+) sign in the bottom left-hand corner and select New Account

  Type in your email address, click Continue and wait for the next screen to appear.

  In the top right-hand corner click on Not Exchange?

  Select the IMAP/POP Icon

  Add Account Wizard : 4 of 5

  Complete the necessary fields on the account settings page

  • We always recommend leaving the connection type as IMAP
  • In the appropriate fields fill in your email address, username (these are the same) and password.
  • For Incoming server enter imap.mweb.co.za, leave the port as 993
  • For outgoing server enter smtp.mweb.co.za, leave the port as 587
  • Leave Use SSL ticked for both servers.

  When you're finished click on Add Account
