Sync Your Mweb Calendar With Outlook on Windows

  • You can sync your Mweb email calendar with Microsoft Outlook on a Windows PC.

    Outlook does not support CalDAV calendars by default, so you’ll need to use a free third-party add-on called Outlook CalDAV Synchronizer to link your Mweb calendar to Outlook.

    This guide walks you through the setup step by step.

  • What You’ll Need

    Before you start, make sure you have:

    • A Windows PC
    • Microsoft Outlook installed (2016 or newer recommended)
    • Your Mweb email address and password

    Step 1: Download Outlook CalDAV Synchronizer

    Download the add-on from the official website:

    https://caldavsynchronizer.org/

    Install it using the default options.

    Step 2: Open the CalDAV Synchronizer in Outlook

    1. Open Microsoft Outlook
    2. Click the CalDAV Synchronizer tab
    3. Select Synchronization Profiles
    4. Click Add New Profile

    Step 3: Set Up Your Mweb Calendar Sync

    Use the following settings when creating the profile.

    Profile type

    • Select CalDAV/CardDAV

    General settings

    • Profile name:
      Example: Mweb Calendar
    • Outlook folder:
      Select Calendar

    Server settings

    • DAV URL:
      https://imap.mweb.co.za
    • Username:
      Your full Mweb email address
    • Password:
      Your Mweb email password

    Synchronisation direction

    • Select Two-way synchronisation

    Click OK to save.

    Step 4: Sync Your Calendar

    • Click Synchronize Now
    • The first sync may take a few minutes
    • Your Mweb calendar will then appear in Outlook

    Your calendar will continue to sync automatically in the background.

    Will my calendar stay updated automatically?
    Yes. By default, the synchronisation runs every 30 minutes. You can change this in the profile settings.

    Will this affect my email messages?
    No. This setup only synchronises calendar data.

    Is this supported by Mweb?
    Mweb supports the calendar service. Outlook CalDAV Synchronizer is a third-party application and is provided as-is.

    Does this work on macOS?
    This guide applies to Windows only. macOS supports CalDAV calendars natively.

  • Troubleshooting

    • Make sure your full email address is used as the username
    • Double-check your password
    • Confirm the Calendar folder is selected
    • Use the profile test option if sync fails
    • If needed, remove the profile and add it again
