A step-by-step guide to setting up AVG products from Mweb

• Once you have signed up, it’s quick and easy to get your AVG Internet Security product activated. Follow the step by step instructions below and if you get stuck log an online query and one of our team will get in touch to help you get started.

  Alternatively, you can make use of the following AVG Internet Security sources of information

  • Help file included with the installation: A troubleshooting section with a list of FAQ’s is available directly in the help file included with AVG Internet Security application. To open this file - press F1 key when in the application.
  • The AVG support centre on the AVG website: This includes FAQ’s related to technical questions and other.
  • AVG Threat Labs: This specific AVG related website is dedicated to virus issues and provides information related to online threats, instructions on removing viruses, spyware, and advice on how to stay protected.

• Your activation key

  • You will be sent an AVG activation key via SMS and an Email with detailed instructions of how to get connected.
  • If you don’t receive your AVG activaiton key, log in to your online MWEB Account, select the AVG Internet Security product and scroll down to the section called “Included services and Helpful information”, for these details.

  Download AVG

  Click here to download the AVG installation file to your computer.

  
  

  The link will take you to an AVG landing page. Follow the instructions to download the installation file

  Start the Installation

  Once you have opened the file, complete the installation by following the step by step instructions. Click the “continue” button and make sure you have your activation key sent via SMS ready. You will need this to complete the installation

  The language selection will automatically default to English and we always recommend you review the End User License Agreement and Privacy Policy, indicated in the links on this page.

  Enter your License Key

  Enter the AVG activation key into this license number space Ensure you type in the key exactly as it was sent to you.

  Once entered, click on the “install now” button on the bottom of the page. This button will be highlighted once the correct key is entered.

  Choose the Install Location

  Accept the default install location, or specify where you would like AVG to be installed (advanced users)

  Once entered, click on the “install now” button on the bottom of the page. This button will be highlighted once the correct key is entered.

  Installation In Progress

  Once you have clicked on the “install now” button the process will run automatically and you do not need to do anything further. The “installing AVG” screen will be displayed while installation is in progress.
