• Before You Begin

  Is your fibre line active?

  1. Installation Scheduling

  If you haven’t yet had your fibre installed, the Fibre Network Operator (FNO) will contact you to schedule it. This call will come from a mobile number listed as ‘unknown’, so please answer your phone.

  📌 Important: Missing your appointment may delay your order.

  2. Installation Completed

  Installation doesn’t mean your fibre is live just yet. Activation can take up to five business days. We’ll let you know once your service is active.

  3. Line Activated

  Once we confirm that your fibre is active, you can unpack and set up your router.

  With your fibre line good to go, it’s time to unbox your router and fire up your connection.

• What’s in the Box?

  • ZTE H3601P router – your internet device

  • Power adapter – supplies power to the router

  • Ethernet cable – connects your router to the fibre line

  Connect Your Router

  1. Place your router near the fibre box (ONT – Optical Network Terminal).
  2. Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the ONT port labelled LAN1.
  3. Plug the other end into the router port labelled WAN (far-left port).
  4. Plug the power adapter into the router (far-right connector), then into a wall socket.

  Power on the Router

  1. Switch on the wall socket.
  2. Wait up to 10 minutes for the router to connect.
  3. When the light turns solid green, your internet is ready!

  Connect to WiFi

  Find the sticker underneath the router – it has your:

  • WiFi name (WLAN SSID)

  • WiFi password (WLAN Security)

  On your phone, laptop, or tablet:

  1. Open WiFi settings.

  2. Tap your WiFi name.

  3. Enter the password from the sticker.

  Your router uses one combined WiFi name (SSID) by default, which switches between 2.4GHz and 5GHz automatically for best performance. Learn more.

  Test Your Connection

  1. Open a browser (like Chrome or Safari) or any internet app.
  2. Try loading a website like www.google.com.
  3. If it loads, you’re online!

• Troubleshooting Tips

  No Power?

  • Ensure the power adapter is securely plugged into the router and wall socket.
  • Use the original power adapter provided with the router
  • Loadshedding, consider getting a UPS from our Online Store

  Can’t Connect to the Internet?

  • Ensure the Ethernet cable is plugged into the correct ports (WAN on the router, LAN1 on the ONT).
  • Router light should be green.
  • Restart the router by turning it off and on again.
  • Router did not auto configure? Try manual router setup.
  • Can’t find your WiFi name (SSID)?
    • Make sure the router is on and the light is green.

  • Wrong WiFi password? Double-check the sticker for the correct password.

  Reset to Factory Settings

  • If needed, press and hold the reset button for more than 5 seconds using a toothpick or paperclip.
