Browser Notifications

Browser Notifications

  • Mweb Webmail utilises browser notifications in order to alert users of various activities within their account. For example, users get a pop-up notification when a message is delivered to their inbox, a calendar reminder is triggered, or an instant message is received. Simply clicking the browser notification opens that new message, that new calendar event, or that new instant message.

Users can even manage which areas will trigger browser notifications from their Account settings: Calendar reminders, Chat messages, and/or New emails. Notifications that are received when the Mweb Webmail web interface is not open will be displayed on the Notification icon in the upper right corner of the webmail interface.

    Unblocking Notifications

If "Browser notifications have been disabled in this browser." is displayed on the Notifications card, you must first unblock browser notifications for the Mweb Webmail site to enable/disable specific alerts. Please review your browser documentation for the exact steps in unblocking site notifications, or refer to the article, Unblock / Allow Browser Notifications.

    Dismissing the Notification

If you want to eliminate the "Browser notifications have been disabled" toast notification altogether, simply click the Dismiss button. This will eliminate it from being displayed until you clear your browser cache or delete cookies in your browser.
